Blackpool Trades and Social Club
The Trades and Social Club has a major place in the history of the trades union movement in Blackpool. It was founded in the early part of the 20th century as the Trades Club. Earlier this decade, ownership of the Club changed, and the Trades Council retains a lease on our existing rooms.
The Club is able to host national conference/congress fringes and socials, as well as local branches' regular meetings.
Facilities
Facilities provided by the Club include:
- The Concert Room - a function room that can hold 200 people. Facilities include its own bar, a stage, dance floor, large screen and professional sound console.
- Two downstairs lounges - the large public lounge with its own stage and large screen, and the smaller Spen Hudson lounge which can be booked for meetings and socials.
- A games room with pool tables, a snooker table and dart boards.
For more information, contact the Trades and Social Club on (01253) 622580 or at 7 Chadwick Street, Blackpool, FY1 5EJ.
