Welcome

Blackpool Fylde and Wyre Trades Union Council is the local registered body of the Trades Union Congress, composed of trade union activists from Blackpool and the neighbouring boroughs of Fylde and Wyre. All of our delegates are elected from local affiliated union branches. Our organisation has an unbroken history dating back to 1891 when Blackpool Trades Council was founded. Today Blackpool Fylde and Wyre Trades Union Council is one of the most active Trades Councils in the country.

We are affiliated to the Lancashire Association of Trades Union Councils, which is our county association.

On our site you will find information about our campaigning work in the local community, and details of our affiliated unions.

If you are a trade union member, whether in Blackpool, Fylde or Wyre boroughs, or further afield, we would be pleased to hear from you.
